Hi my name is Steven Scharf a Senior Web Developer.
I am a leader, problem-solver, reliable, dependable and friendly. I tend to tinker behind the scenes but I also can socialize with the best of them. Those who know my work always want me to return and I’ve been back to several previous employers. I consistently and independently update my skill set, as new technologies and ideals emerge you will find me at the forefront of the curve learning it and then teaching it with a smile on my face the whole time.
Almost since the internet was born, I had tinkered behind the curtains wondering what the future would hold. Over a decade later I’ve learned more then I can describe, worked in several different environments on various types of systems and applications. I am adept at learning programming languages, architectures and frameworks and enjoy development from the ground up or enhancing a current project. I have managed several projects while running my own business and have worked as part of several teams both inside the government and within the corporate sector. If you are looking for a true professional with a passion for web development, you found me!
I have been developing web sites since the internet became popular using various technologies and always upgrading my skills as time went on. There aren’t many web applications I haven’t encountered. I began coding on a Commodore Vic 20 and Commodore 64 when I was probably around 7 or 8 years old and learned syntax and logic at that time. It’s given me a proficiency in programming that I still use today learning new languages as they are released or as projects require. I am able to reverse-engineer products, scale them, build from scratch using proven technologies and do so with quality, security and a “get things done” attitude.
I have project planning abilities as I have managed many projects both solo and with team members in place. I have the ability to lead and also produce results efficiently, professionally and have the sense to be able to understand the needs of the business, workflows and most especially the audiences expectations.
